The Dell Inspiron M501R is one of few Dell notebooks with AMD processors. It is available with AMD Phenom II processors which were release to compete with Intel’s Core i7 Quad core processors. It is also available with Integrated (ATI HD4250) and dedicated (ATI HD550v) graphics card options but with no switchable graphics unlike other more expensive notebooks.
Dell Inspiron M501R offers a wide range of connectivity options including 3 USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA/USB combo port, wireless-N, 10/100 ethernet and Bluetooth.
