The Samsung Q530 is a mid-range consumer laptop in Samsung’s Q-series and is suitable for those needing a laptop for basic functions like word processing, internet browsing or watching movies. Like all the 2010 Q-series laptops, the Q530 has a thin, 27mm thick design and has a Core i3-350M (2.26GHz) processor, which can hold up to 4 GB of memory.
The main difference between the Samsung Q530 and other similar Samsung Q-series laptops is the screen size and GPU – the Q530 has a 15.6″ screen size and an integrated NVIDIA GeForce 330M graphics processor capable of operating videogames and audio/video editing software that aren’t too CPU intensive.
Like it’s brothers the Q330 and Q430, the Q530 has a screen resolution of 1,366 x 768, and comes with a black or silver metallic finish. It also has a six-cell battery, that Samsung claims to last five hours. Also included in the unit is a DVD burner, 3 USB ports, HDMI out, and a basic keyboard and track pad. The laptop’s slim design is one of it’s best features, with a 27mm thickness. The Q530 weighs 5.14 lbs.
